PRESS RELEASE
What lies behind the horizon? What stores the force of nature? Sunrise transforming into sunsets; Light of day before the darkest night. Images that appeal to the collective memory of what is seen, of what is experienced.
Landscapes that we recognize despite never seeing before, that express the unattainable. Silent scenes, witnesses of time, of great deeds, and vanquished heroes.
Michael Kenna is able to transmit intense emotions through his camera with minimalist compositions that generate visual haikus in which the viewer's gaze is lost in contemplation and silence.
Javier Hinojosa takes us to unforgettable places that are presented as contemplative levels in which the landscape is transformed into timeless and sublime images.
Patricio Robles Gil is an artist who uses his passion and skills to communicate the extraordinary beauty and importance of wild places across the earth.
Olin Heitmann, the youngest artist of the show, portrays black and white subtle landscapes that seduce the viewer reflecting the beauty of the world.
Cynthia Araf has developed a proposal in which landscape is blurred into evocations, it’s transformed into lights and shadows that refer to the beauty surrounding us.
Oswaldo Ruiz captures the landscape through its relationship with the human being. In his photography the representation of nature becomes the decostruction of the idea of city.
Alfredo de Stéfano achieves that beyond observing the landscape, the viewer is able to experience it through his interventions, filled with color in which the desert space becomes inhabited.
Daniel Beltrá shows the transformation of our world through the air, obtaining a unique perspective in which nature is confronted with the destruction caused by man.
Dulce Pinzón moves away from traditional narratives by means of visual elements of scenic line. With Generosity, she achieves a reflection about the landscape and the influence of the human being in the destruction of the natural world.
Through their lens, the photographers exhibited in this show transform the classic notion of the landscape, of nature, into ethereal images that border the boundaries of the dream realm inviting the viewer to make an almost fantastic journey through sometimes contemplative, sometimes chaotic scenes that question the relationship of man with his environment.
Nine photographers, nine different perspectives that intersect creating fortuitous encounters, opposing landscapes.
